A local club for tennis, teams and social life.

Claremont is a welcoming tennis and social club with clay courts, league teams, regular social tennis and a clubhouse that brings members together throughout the year.

Courts

Four clay/shale dressed courts

Our courts are playable through spring, summer and autumn, with Court 4 currently being refurbished. Members can use the courts during the tennis season, until frost makes the surface too soft to play on.

Teams

Walkden and Bolton leagues

Claremont has teams competing in the Walkden and Bolton leagues. Competition matches are usually played on Monday and Wednesday evenings.

Social tennis

Friendly weekly sessions

Social tennis is played from 6pm on Tuesday evenings and on Sunday afternoons, subject to weather. Members should check the club WhatsApp group for the latest session updates.

Club room and bar

Social events all year round.

The social side of Claremont is a big part of club life. Members come together for Friday evenings, quiz nights, tournament days, seasonal gatherings and relaxed catch-ups after tennis.

Our Club Room has a licensed bar and provides a welcoming setting for meetings, functions and member events. The bar is open to club members during social events and every Friday evening from around 9pm.

Quiz Night is held every second Sunday, with the club usually open from 8.15pm. Keep an eye on our events page and Instagram for new dates and social plans.
